Bilt Adds Preferred Hotels & Resorts as Transfer Partner With 1:2 Ratio
Bilt Rewards has officially expanded its loyalty footprint by adding Preferred Hotels & Resorts as its 24th travel partner. This makes Preferred Hotels the seventh hotel brand to join the Bilt ecosystem. Members can now transfer their Bilt Points directly to the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program at a lucrative 1:2 ratio. This means for every 1,000 Bilt Points you transfer, you will receive 2,000 I Prefer Points.
This new partnership unlocks award redemptions at more than 700 independent luxury hotels, resorts, and residences across 85 countries.
The Key Details
- The Transfer Ratio: 1 Bilt Point = 2 I Prefer Points.
- Minimum Transfer Requirements: 1,000 Bilt points for Silver, Gold, and Platinum elite status tiers. Blue status members must transfer a minimum of 2,000 points.
- Incremental Rules: All transfers must be completed in increments of 1,000 points.
- Transfer Speed: Point transfers typically clear in about 5 minutes.

- Navigate directly to the Rewards tab.
- Click on the Transfer section to view available travel partners.

Is This a Good Deal?
A 1:2 transfer ratio sounds incredibly generous on the surface, but the true value always depends on the award chart of the receiving program. In the I Prefer Hotel Rewards framework, reward redemptions operate differently than traditional fixed-tier programs like World of Hyatt.
I Prefer Points are generally used to redeem digital Reward Certificates that act as cash credits toward your room stay, or they are used for variable points-based bookings. Because of this setup, the redemption value is closely tied to the cash price of the room.
This transfer option is highly valuable if you are targeting independent boutique hotels, historic properties, or luxury island resorts that are not affiliated with giant corporate hotel conglomerates. However, if you are looking to maximize the absolute peak value of individual points, World of Hyatt remains the toughest Bilt hotel partner to beat.
As always in award travel, do not transfer points speculatively. Make sure to check cash rates and award availability on I Prefer Hotel Rewards before finalizing any point transfers from your Bilt account.
