Visa to Enable Credit Card Rewards Deposits Into Trump Accounts

Visa CEO Ryan McInerney announced that Visa will work with U.S. financial institution partners to allow cardholders to deposit credit card rewards directly into Trump accounts. President Donald Trump welcomed the announcement, highlighting expanded consumer choice for rewards redemptions.

The usefulness of this new option will largely depend on the redemption rate offered by card issuers. If rewards convert at competitive values, it could appeal to cardholders who already use Trump accounts. However, weaker redemption rates may limit adoption compared to standard options like statement credits or bank deposits.

Visa is the first major card network to confirm this type of integration, but other payment networks such as Mastercard and American Express may follow if demand proves strong.
